[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

Aerika has been watching this debacle happening the whole time and to say the least she's not impressed. Clint does this routine every time and the fact that it works just bothers her too much to watch Rory get sucked in too. She'll head over and put her arm around Rory's shoulder and pull him close.

"Hey Rory! You're not thinking of joining the football team are you?" She'll grin at him. "Not that you wouldn't be an incredible player but they've got kind of a monopoly right now, do you really wanna buy into that?" Think of the other sports teams Rory.

JOIN FOOTBALL

"We're going to win state this year Aerika" Clint says grinning from ear to ear. 100000% believing what he is saying.

FOOTBALL???????????

He's about to reach for a pen when Aerika nabs him around the other side. So now he's smushed between the two taller, older dice north students. His eyes shift from side to side, Clint to Aerika and back. "Oh, me? Well, I mean, Captain does think I'd be good on the team too..."

He's certainly in a predicament now, here he has Aerika who he really really respects as a player, looks up to and Clint, his captain, who he also looks up to and respects. So he did the only thing he could do in this situation, he looked around for help.

JOIN ANYTHING ELSE

Aerika basically ignores Rory and smiles back at Clint. "That's what you said last year, and with as many powerhouses as I know you guys have on the field I'm sure you can spare one player."

FOOTBALL

"Yeah but we've got a secret weapon." He leans over Rory's head "Just wait until you see our quarterbacks this year"

Clint is now at this point leaning over his head. He definitely felt like a pawn inbetween a power struggle. The look Cassidy was giving him wasn't helping either, the kind of look that spoke 'I'm sorry' but also at the same time 'there was no escaping this, why did you try'. Fuck. Literally, fuck. He definitely prayed to god the "secret weapon" Clint was talking about wasn't him. He had no idea who he was even referring to.

LACROSS YOU'D BE GOOD AT THAT

Rory gets to stay exactly where he is, stuck between two muscle heads. "Secret weapons??" She replies with a heavy amount of disbelief. Clint wasn't good at keeping secrets.

"Who?"

HE'D BE BETTER AT FOOTBALL

"Jules and Cas" Clint winks. "And with Rory we've got nothing stopping us for years"

BOTH ARE GOOD, BUT-

"Me? I don't know about a secret weapon...those other guys are pretty tough looking though," his voice is pretty quiet, but is lost under the storm very easily. It was hard, weighing the options of disappointing either his Captain or his Idol player. Damn it.

MINE IS BETTER

"Don't be stupid Rory, you could totally be a secret weapon. You'd kill it on the Lacrosse field." She says this and looks over to Cassidy-he never told her about being a quarterback-c'mon Cas what gives?

"You've only got one year left if I remember correctly."

FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL

"And-" Clint this time picks up the megaphone to his lips "this is the year the DICE NORTH DRAGONS ARE GOING TO WIN STATE!"

At least he was considerate enough to point it away from their ears and in the direction of the lunch tables. Quickly after there were loud screams and cheers and football players banging their fists on the tables.

He let's go of Rory only to grab a pen. "And we could really use a dedicated guy like you Rory."

THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANTED

Win state huh? That was a lofty goal, but considering who he knew was on the team it certainly was plausible. As Clint picked up the pen, he read the sign up sheet again. "I wouldn't want to let anyone down, yeah, they could use the extra help I'm sure," he smiles a little, but it's forced as he takes the pen from Clint.

IT IS NOW

She cursed at the sound of the megaphone despite Clint pointing it away from them.

"Now you're guilting him into it!" Aerika tugs -the sign up sheet out of Rory's hands before he has a chance to write anything down. "There's no way I'm gonna watch you take my favorite teammate out from under me, Clint."

Clint holds up his hands "Whoa now! Rory is free to make his own decisions here. And besides, Lacrosse is a Spring sport, and Aerika we both know how important it is to be a 4 season athlete."

UH, WHY NOT BOTH

The outburst makes Rory jump and he blushes as the sign up sheet is yanked from his hands before he can even pen down his name. Favorite teammate... ok that certainly made him feel a little warm inside. She just called him her favorite teammate oh my god... "Right! Ah, why not just do both?" he offered, trying to quell the rising tide.

WOW RORY, HAVE SOME LOYALTY.

"They are in different seasons."

Aerika smirks "That's true. Rory can make his own choice here, but he needs help I think we can settle this in a reasonable manner."

FOOTBALL WINS

Clint laughs. Man this was hilarious! "I'll bite, what do you have in mind Aerika?"

WAIT, WHAT

"Now waaait just a second, there really isn't any need to settle stuff, it's fine," it's too late. All he can really hope to do at this point is exactly what Cassidy suggested, let them work it out. It didn't help that his mind was incredibly on the 'no fighting' scale of things.

Here's your chance to escape Rory.

"I think you're familiar with the rules of this game. " Aerika holds out her hand for Clint. It's obvious she means arm wrestling.

"Are you challenging me to an arm wrestling match?" Clint was practically beaming at her. "What do you want if you win?"

She keeps on smiling. It was obvious whatever decision Rory made was really up to him, this was personal stupidity."How about I take that megaphone of yours."

"And if you win?"

Cassidy had been standing with Aerika before she left to get herself into something she really did not need to. He just shook his head when Rory made eyecontact with him.

You're just stuck in one of Aerika's righteous missions. Clint and her will work it out- just pretend you're not there and they'll forget.
