[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

Where: Lunchroom and Courtyard

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

Win state huh? That was a lofty goal, but considering who he knew was on the team it certainly was plausible. As Clint picked up the pen, he read the sign up sheet again. "I wouldn't want to let anyone down, yeah, they could use the extra help I'm sure," he smiles a little, but it's forced as he takes the pen from Clint.

She cursed at the sound of the megaphone despite Clint pointing it away from them.

"Now you're guilting him into it!" Aerika tugs -the sign up sheet out of Rory's hands before he has a chance to write anything down. "There's no way I'm gonna watch you take my favorite teammate out from under me, Clint."

Clint holds up his hands "Whoa now! Rory is free to make his own decisions here. And besides, Lacrosse is a Spring sport, and Aerika we both know how important it is to be a 4 season athlete."

The outburst makes Rory jump and he blushes as the sign up sheet is yanked from his hands before he can even pen down his name. Favorite teammate... ok that certainly made him feel a little warm inside. She just called him her favorite teammate oh my god... "Right! Ah, why not just do both?" he offered, trying to quell the rising tide.

"They are in different seasons."

Aerika smirks "That's true. Rory can make his own choice here, but he needs help I think we can settle this in a reasonable manner."

Clint laughs. Man this was hilarious! "I'll bite, what do you have in mind Aerika?"

"Now waaait just a second, there really isn't any need to settle stuff, it's fine," it's too late. All he can really hope to do at this point is exactly what Cassidy suggested, let them work it out. It didn't help that his mind was incredibly on the 'no fighting' scale of things.

Here's your chance to escape Rory.

"I think you're familiar with the rules of this game. " Aerika holds out her hand for Clint. It's obvious she means arm wrestling.

"Are you challenging me to an arm wrestling match?" Clint was practically beaming at her. "What do you want if you win?"

She keeps on smiling. It was obvious whatever decision Rory made was really up to him, this was personal stupidity."How about I take that megaphone of yours."

"And if you win?"

The decision to leave is definitely now, and Rory does take the chance to slip away. He'll come back later after their battle's been worn out. Plus if he didn't he would most likely not hear the end of it from Clint.

"You never cease to amaze me Aerika." Clint put his megaphone down on the table and grabbed onto her hand. "Well if I win you've gotta come with me to the Game Master theme parks halloween event"

***Game Masters is the local amusement park so this would be their equivalent of valleyscare

"With you and whole team?" The sounded like an invite to a group outing, but either way she'll take the compliment and grip his hand back. They're next to a table anyways so she'll take her side and wait for Clint to take his.

"Do you wanna go on a date with the whole football team? Even as the captain I can't bet that" Clint grinned tightening his grip. "Jojo, count us off will you?"

Jojo was THERE. Hell yeah this was going to be good.
" Yeah, man! "

He grabbed on to both of their hands,
" Aight, no cheatin, this is a fair arm wrestling ok?? No hands on the table or nothing. "

" 3....2....1!" Jojo lifted his hand off to let the both of them start.

She stops. A date? Aerika glances back to where she assumed Cassidy was still standing. This just went from fun to awkward. Of course now it was too late, she'd challenged him, she was going to follow through.

Cassidy was doing his very best to hold a straight face. But let me tell you, on the inside he was fuming. This was his friend Clint do NOT pull this shit on the one person who just might like Cassidy better than Clinton Calloway. God he just wanted Aerika to destroy him.

Clint and Aerika, both very honorable people start at exactly the same time. He was confident, he had this! He was going to defeat Aerika honorably.

Wait a minute.
Both their hands were exactly stuck against each other neither of them giving an inch.

A small crowd had formed around the two as they held their ground equally. Most were cheering (Jojo as always was the loudest). She expected Clint to put up a hell of a fight-and damn that's exactly what she got! This guy was not moving at all and it was obvious it was going to be a test of who could outlast the other.

A minute passes, almost two.

"Hey Aerika? You ever thought about being a lineman?" Clint asks in true sports anime fashion as him and Aerika's strength contest turned into a battle of endurance.

(con save: 10+8= 18)

But just as he finishes speaking he manages to give one more push and slam her hand down onto the table.

Unlike Clint, Aerika isn't anime enough to have conversations while having a strength contest. Endurance contest. Which, that little distraction wasn't helping.

Her hand hits the table and she shouts at the loss. DAMMIT. She almost had him!! She was so close. Aerika stands up and rubs her arm a little before facing Clint. "Alright-Alright-you won."

Clint holds out his hand to shake "You didn't answer my question ya know". Because wow Aerika you're tough!"

"You are not recruiting me into football after that, Clint."

She reaches and shakes his hand firmly. Regardless of the loss it was a good contest.

"Thanks-you too man. That was one hell of a fight."

"You know I had to try!" He pats her on the back
