When: Friday after school, following Elliot's phone getting taken
Where: Some classroom

Elliot was pretty sure substitute teachers couldn't take away things from students. But Elliot was also pretty sure on if a teacher didn't show up in the first 15 minutes then you could leave. so. 
Luckily Fair was substituting for some class today and wasn't just not at the school, which would make everything ten times harder. It wasn't one of Elliot's classes, so he just had to wait till the end of the day to see him. 

He didn't really bother knocking, he just peeked through the the doors window before inviting himself in the room, which the essay that Toivo "wrote" for him in hand. 

"Where's my phone. "

Elliot would have much rather watched the Sandlot rather than the Bee Movie. Why did this class get a sort of okay movie. Bullshit.

" I want my phone. " Duh, that was obvious, he just said that. Elliot walked over to the desk and tossed the paper onto it, holding out his hand impatiently for the phone. He didn't want to be here at all.

Fair picked up the stack of papers and started flipping through it "You wrote this all overnight didja. You sure have a good typing speed"

Elliot shifted his weight, clenching his jaw. There's no way fair was going to read that. He just slept through his last class.

Elliot kept his hand out, really hopeful Fair would just.
"so can I have my phone now or what. "

By that point Elliot had put his hand down from asking for his phone back and was leaning over the desk to actually. Look at the paper. Fuck.

" uugggghh. god damnit, that's bullshit i'm getting my fucking money back!!! "

"how much did ya pay. cause i'm betting this-" he pulls out a shoe and sets it on the desk "is worth more than that"

Elliot looks at the shoe on the desk, then back to Fair. It didn't even look like Fair's shoe??? That was too small for Fair, probably?? Why...


"what. that's a shoe"


" where's my phone man "

Fair tossed the shoe to him "You gotta take this too. Now get outta here"

Elliot stumbled back a step or two in order to not let the shoe touch him. What the fuck.

"man I don't want your fucking shoe"

"Alright then don't" Fair pulled the shoe back.

"man what's your fucking problem, just give me back my phone. I didn't even really do anything everyone was on their phone during that class!"

fair tosses the shoe to Elliot. "Whoever you paid to write that essay is a dick, hopefully it wasn't a friend of yours"

He caught the shoe this time, generally just looking irritated. Both because now he had a single shoe and because fair wasn't wrong. Now he was out 30 bucks and was half sure he's still probably going to get a detention or something because of this.
" whatever. it's fine. "
