[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

" Woooww, " He laughed and offered him the second plate of food.
" You know Sophia would probably kick me out even if I was here to join." Although on second thought it wasn't the worst idea in order to piss her off. She couldn't really kick him out of the club if he joined right. " I was just seeing if you needed any help setting up, or anything. You looked a little scattered. "

Atlas let out a shaky laugh "Was it that obvious?"

He gratefully accepts the tray. He was in too much of a rush to get lunch and he could physically feel how empty his stomach was. "This club is all about acceptance Areli. And someone as kind and thoughtful as you would be welcome with open arms. Thank you very much for picking my lunch up. I appreciate it quite a bit"

Okay, so, Areli didn't talk much to Atlas at all, but he was kinda cute. At least overly nice.

Areli rubbed his neck and shrugged. Somehow he doubted what Atlas was saying, but whatever.
" It's no problem. I needed to get my own anyway, so... Is it just you here today? "

"Sophia is supposed to be here, but bless her heart she is still working on the trifold display." Atlas sighs "I do hope she will get here soon. I'm not the most qualified for running a booth"

" I'm sure you'll do fine. You've just got to not do some rehearsed lines. It sounds really obvious. "

Areli picks at his food a little, rocking on his feet from heel to toe. There's no real good segway from bible club to trying to ask a boy out. Well, probably a couple, but none that would put him on Atlas' good side, at least.
" Soooo.... Are you going to Sadie's? "

"Do you think that would help? Well of course you're right you are part of the theater club afterall." Atlas opened his bag of chips up.

"Well yes of course I am going. Sophia, asked me right away. Are you going Areli?"

Duh. Of course they would go together. That should have been obvious. Honestly this was a stupid person to try and ask.
Areli slouched and fidgeted a little.

" Oh. " That came out a lot more disappointed than Areli intended, and he tried to wave it off and move on quickly.
" Psh, yeah. Of course I'm going. I'm pretty sure like, everyone is going. I wouldn't wanna miss it."

Atlas didn't notice Areli's hesitation in the slightest.

"I do hope to see you there. And don't worry about Sophia, she preaches only forgiveness and respect."

"Yeeeahhh..... Right. Well. I've got to go. I'm the only one at my table too. so. Good luck with..." Areli makes a vague gesture toward the Bible Club table before backing up and turning quickly toward the Theater table.

So far the only person Areli's had a chance with was Alexei and by now Alexei probably has someone to the dance too. This was embarrassing.

Oh no he forgot to convince Areli to sign up for bible club! oh shoot he really needed to work on this.
