[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

Where: Lunchroom and Courtyard

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

It was the thump of him falling over that caught her attention.
Gymnastics...? Yes. Gymnastics. Gemi LOVED gymnastics.
Okay so she loved a lot of things, but gymnastics were just so useful for getting in to things she shouldn't get into and getting back out again. (Like sneaking out at 3 am through the second floor window? Ayyyyy~)
So yes.
Gymnastics.

"HI!" She said brightly, almost squeaking.

Diedrich looked up at her before scrambling to his feet.

"Hi there! Do you wanna sign up??" He broke out a friendly smile. Wow, she was probably the first to actually walk to his table.

"Yeah!! Is it a team or is it just for fun? I mean either's okay with me really, I like rolling around and climbing things and jumping off stuff, so as long as I get to do that I'm totally in!"

"Hmmmm." His face scrunched up in thought. "I think... I think we're just for fun!"

Diedrich's face brightened. "We do that! We definitely do all of that! Here," He reached for the sign up sheet and a pen. "I think just name and phone number will do!"

He couldn't believe it, somebody signed up!!

Gemi hummed happily to herself as she wrote down the required information (no student ID, thank god, she was freshman and definitely hadn't memorized it yet).
"Eeeeee~ This is so exciting! When's our first meet-up? Is it soon?" She was hoping for soon.
Like, within the week soon.
Maybe sooner.

Like, today soon.

It showed.

"We meet Wednesdays around 2!" He happily took the sheet back and put it on the table. "Oh yeah, did you need me to sign your card?"

He's hardly a club president, but hey, she could knock out two signatures in one go!

She'd like that.

"Okay!" She giggled and wiggled a bit in excitement. "I can't wait to meet everyone!!"

"My what?" Card? What card?

"OH. Oh, right. That card. Um..." Gemi rummaged through her pockets, not finding anything but candy wrappers, pens, and... hair clips? and a couple ID cards? That definitely did not have her face on them. "I have it somewhere, I promise! I know I do, cause I put it somewhere I wouldn't lose it..." She danced from foot to foot, shaking her hands nervously. "OH! Oh, oh! I remember!" And immediately she kicked off her shoes. After a hearty clap on the sole, the little square of cardstock dropped on the floor. Gemi picked it up and held it out to him. "Here it is! It's a little crunched, sorry..."

Oh, that's pretty cool! He took the card from her and tried his best to straighten it out. "No worries! Oh, and since I'm also manning the tennis table, I could give you two signatures!" He gave a small chuckle.

"You wouldn't be interested in joining tennis too, would you? Just kidding!"

"Yeah? That'd be awesome!! I mean, I figured I'd get four eventually, cause I'm gonna talk to everyone." Her eyes sparkled with determination.

"I've never played tennis before. ... Is it fun?" This was a serious question.

A noble goal Diedrich only wishes he could pursue as well.

"It is! Well, I mean. I like running around, so it's great if you've got a lot of energy! If you want though, you could just come to practice to see if you'd like it or not."

"I like running around! Yeah! Let's do that! When are the practices?"

"Mondays and Thursdays at 3!" He handed her back the card. "Can't wait to see you there!"

"I can't wait either! This is so exciting!!" Gemi bounced a bit away from the table before looking back and saying "I'll see you at the next practice! Bye~!"
