[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

Who: EVERYONE
What: Lunch + Club Fair
When: End of the 2nd week of School
Where: Lunchroom and Courtyard

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

Amazing ... Nero had found his people ... He excitedly took the magazine, allowing himself a little bit of fun before he had to get back to his schoolwork.

"You mean you have a telescope, too?? I've never actually met anyone else who ... liked this kind of stuff ..."

" Yeah!! I like it a lot, stars and space are all really neat. I mean, i guess some people think it's boring because you're just watching stars and everything but i think it's really fun. " He shrugs, seeming excited that someone was taking this interest seriously.
"are there a lot of people in the club??? "

"No!!" Nero exclaimed, shaking his head wildly. "It's so much more than that!!! See, the problem is that people are so used to stars, because they see them every single night; they're... pretty normal and therefore seem kinda insignificant, you know? But as soon as you realize they're so much more than some little dots," he was gesticulating with his hands now, "that they're actually these giant balls of plasma just being held together by - I was going to say sheer will, but that's incorrect; they're actually held by gravity - you can't just look up at the night sky like it's something normal anymore, because it's-- it's so far from that!! I mean in-- in the time it took me to say that--" He paused to breathe, but was still silently mouthing some words to himself.

"75,000 stars have been created in the universe!!! 75,000!! That's-- That's almost 5,000 for every one second, thousand, it's so cool."

Nero had completely missed Issa's last question.

Issa was getting excited if only because Nero was so excited.
" And they're all so close together when you see them, but they're just so!!! Far away!! From us and from each other. They might not even be there anymore from when we see them! They could have died out by the time we see them!! " He was grinning and leaning forward a little, flipping through some pages of the magazine to show Nero. He points and turns it around so Nero can read it.

" They say there's supposed to be a meteor shower soon, too, "
