[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

Julian just kind of watches as the two awkwardly dance around how they know each other.

Ohhh no now he's trying even harder to maintain eye contact. It's even MORE uncomfortable to avoid looking at him, so now he HAS to look at him!!

"Uh... uh... maybe it was the camping... trip?"

Toivo hummed in response, taking another bite from his hamburger and chewing slowly. "Yeah... Maybe."

"Anyway, Julian said your name was Diedrich? It's nice to finally be introduced." WHY was he so familiar?

(Yeah just go ahead and talk to each other you guys Julian's gonna let you resolve that introduction. He'll pop back in later.)

Diedrich offered a smile of sorts.

"Yeah, I was kind of wondering about you. It's nice to meet you for the sex- I MEAN- the second. The second time. It's nice to meet you for the second time."

Can he hide somewhere. Please. Maybe behind Pajea, she's tall right? No, wait. This guy's probably even taller. Crap.

Toivo froze as he was taking a bite of his burger. Was he breathing? He tried breathing, but then he started choking on the hamburger in his mouth.

Okay, there was definitely beef stuck in his throat. Shit. Shit okay he got it out. He stopped choking.

Toivo took a deep breath and looked at Diedrich like Diedrich was a gigantic 18-wheeler semi-truck and Toivo was a small, tiny deer. "What did you say?" he squeaked.

Oh man. Ohhh man. He fucked up. He fucked up so bad. He should stop using the word fuck that's making it worse stop it no.

"UH i-it was nice to meet you. For the second time." He's so nervous right now he's about to pass out. MAYBE there was an escape route somewhere. Julian was still standing next to him, blocking one route. The table was right in front of him, that's another route blocked. Could he run fast enough backwards?

Shit that guy has really long legs he probably can't.

He might have been able to brush off the 'sex' slip up if Diedrich didn't look, and sound, so insanely uncomfortable, but the kid was practically causing an earthquake with how badly he was shaking. Toivo swallowed thickly and asked, "You were a-at the party?" His voice cracked in the middle.

"I-I was." It was so hard to look Toivo in the face. Diedrich kept glancing at him- shit they locked eyes. "It w-was a nice party, wasn't it? Hahaha..."

"oh my god."

Toivo turned in his seat so he was no longer facing Diedrich and put his head in his hands.

"Oh my God. Did you...? Were you...?"

A pause. "What do you know."

Diedrich began biting his lower lip. This was so painful.

"U-um... I.. well" He's looking off to the side, but his face says everything his mouth will not. He knows what you did, Toivo.

This is getting intense.

Toivo removed his head from his hands and stared at Diedrich, horrified. The implication was there. He didn't just know what happened, which Toivo could deal with. Hell, half the party had figured it out, and the other half of the party was too drunk to care. But Diedrich, he saw. There was a vague recollection of someone coming in the room, but Toivo had been too drunk (and busy) to really notice.

"Oh my god. Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I."

Toivo stood up and grabbed his plate.

"I have to go." And without looking back at anyone, he walked away.

Diedrich watched Toivo leave with a face full of embarrassment and guilt. He couldn't bring himself to look at either Julian or Lesley.

"I-I should probably leave too. N-nice to see you guys! Join tennis... or tumbling..." And he walked away very robotically.
