[LOG] CLUB FAIR AT LUNCH

Where: Lunchroom and Courtyard

It's now a couple of weeks into school and it's about time for a real club fair hosted by the Student Council! Tables are set up around the lunchroom giving students a chance to talk to the different club presidents and members about joining. Lunch has been extended to an hour and a half today with a few of the teachers and students grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers for the student body. You were even given one of those little cards where you have to get signatures from 4 different club presidents proving you participated for credit!

"So... this is an actual club?" She eyed his blow pop.

She looked to the table next to his and grabbed a pen off of it. It's not like she wouldn't give it back. They had a ton of pens. And Bibles. They were very prepared. "Do you just want me to put my name and email on here or..."

"Yeah, it's in the club list and everything." He slid the paper scrap over to her side of the table.

"Just name and number."

Dia looked down at the sheet and furrowed her brow. "Uh, do you mean like phone number? Because I don't have a cell phone. Can I just put down my name? I have a school email."

She pouted a little and tapped the top of the pen to her lip, resting it there.

He squinted, clearly very confused. No phone? It was 2014. Yeesh.

"Yeah, then ... email ..."

Dia wrote down her name and email. She'd have to remember to check that more often. Especially since her classes were using email more. It would be a miracle if she could get through the semester without breaking the internet. Or deleting everything on accident. Technology is hard.

"By the way," she started as she placed the pen back down on the neighboring table, "do you have another one of those suckers?"

"I got it from Jesus Club." He motioned towards the booth over.

Eli had taken about 12 pieces of candy in the time he'd been stationed here.

"Wait... you've just been taking it from them? Or are they giving it to you?"

Dia wasn't big on organized religion, but taking candy from Jesus Club seemed... questionable.

He gives her a ??? kind of look.

"It's there for them to give it away. Look, I'm even advertising for them."

"Well... alright," Dia muttered, not wholly convinced. She'd probably grab one anyway. She really wanted a sucker.

"One last question. Are you leading the group in yoga?" It was difficult to discern what she was implying with that tone.

"Yup." He sucked at the candy in his mouth.

She looked him up and down. Well. Never judge a book by it's cover, right? She breathed in for a moment and exhaled loudly. Maybe he was better at it than he looked.

"I guess I'll see you at club, then." She waved and walked off, passing by the Bible Club table as she left. She walked away with a blue raspberry sucker in her mouth.
