WHO: Everyone!
WHAT: The long-anticipated Sadie Hawkins' dance!
WHEN: Friday night after school!
WHERE: The school gym!



Meekus put his hands on his hips, looking around the gym with satisfaction. The streamers looked great, the DJ was queuing up his first song, the refreshment table was stocked, and the teachers chaperoning looked...well, not happy to be there exactly but at least resigned to watching teenagers grind on each other all night. The students were lined up outside the gym to get in. Time to open the doors!

Pajea sighed in relief as they naturally made their way to the tables. Dancing was definitely not going to be pretty with these two, if it was even possible in the first place. She definitely felt out of place here-- she didn't know the music, only a handful of students in the crowd would be able to recognize her, and everything in this place was an anxious breakdown waiting to happen. At least Diedrich wasn't forcing her to do any major socializing or anything. Not yet, at least.

"That sounds nice. Would you...Would you like me to go with you, then?" She did seem a bit calmer though, in hanging out with him.

"Um... maybe." He looked very carefully at the refreshment table. "I'm not very good at balancing things, so I'd probably drop our stuff along the way."

Pajea rose from her seat. "I...I can take care of it, if you want. There was a person looking for you earlier. She was...waving? I think?" She glanced off to try and see if she could find her again. "Did you want to say hi or anything...? I wouldn't be long."

"Oh, no, that's okay! You don't have to do that! That was just my sister." Diedrich looks really embarrassed right now. His face is bright red and he's looking down at his shoes. "UGGHH she was really excited that I was going to the dance. She said it was 'cute', can you believe that?"


He's pouting just a little bit, and with his face as red as it is, he looks a little bit like a toddler in the middle of a fit.
