[LOG] BEING A FAIRY GODMOTHER
WHO: Nate and Aerika
WHAT: Picking out clothing for the dance
WHEN: After school
WHERE: Aerika's dorm room (B2-1)
Once Nate learned that Aerika actually had a date to the upcoming dance he knew that they needed to see each other. There was no way in the world that he was going to let her go to this dance not looking her absolute finest. Admittedly he was a little bummed that he couldn't go with her, but such is life. She was going with a cutie instead. Date-dates were definitely less sad than friend-dates.
He didn't exactly communicate that he was going to help her pick out clothes, just sent her a text saying that he was coming over. Probably when he was right outside of the dorm building. He went up to her room and did the polite thing and knocked on her door instead of climbing in through her window.

He went up to her room and did the polite thing and knocked on her door instead of climbing in through her window.

The knock on the door was her alert basically. Though there weren't many of her friends that bothered knocking.
"Hello?"
no subject
"Hey it's Nate! Open the door?"
no subject
"Hey-what'd you need?"
no subject
"So I heard you have a date to the dance."
no subject
"...Who told you." Considering the reactions she was getting, she was starting to get a little defensive of the topic.
no subject
"Don't worry. I'm not here to give you shit for it or anything. I just want to help you find something nice to wear." He stood up and walked over to her, taking her hand in his own.
"Gotta impress the Calloways, right?" He winked and dropped her hand.

"Of course you aren't sweetheart. That would be a lot of work." He shrugged, "If you were the conniving sort I would accuse you of trying to get in with the kids so you have it good with the principal but I know that isn't your angle."
Nate leaned in so their noses were almost touching, "He is really cute though."
no subject
Aerika sighed. She couldn't be conniving. She could only be manipulative when it was for the betterment of others. "I dunno... I just thought Cassidy would be a good person to take. He's pretty cool." She can't say cute.
"So, you're here to critique my wardrobe?"
no subject
"I haven't actually talked to him myself to be honest. Just oggled from afar." he said in a tone far too wistful to actually be serious.
"I'm not here to critique, just to help." He smirked, "And maybe critique a little bit."
no subject
"He's nice." She answered plainly. "Doesn't take shit from others. Can hold his own in a fight."
"... Alright." It was only a half complaint. "Do your worst."
no subject
"You are going to look great if it is the last thing that I do. "
He opened up the closet.
no subject
She whines. "Don't say that like it's impossible." But really her closet did have a sorry excuse for variety. Mostly she had athletic clothes, things that were comfortable, and like, one or two dress shirts used for when she had to attend conferences. Nothing incredibly showy or interesting. It was obvious she didn't put much stock in fashion.
no subject
Frowning, Nate took a step closer to the insides of her closet. He might be able to work with something in here but in all actuality they were very well going to need to go out and get something.
"How much money do you have to spend on new clothes?"
no subject
"Enough?"
no subject
"You worry about the clothes. I will worry about the jewelry. What kind of shoes do you have?
no subject
She gestures to the corner of her closet where her shoes resided: two pairs of boots, sandals, cleats, a couple pairs of running shoes, and some flats.
"You, you don't have to do that. They're gonna be clothes for me, I can pay for it."
no subject
"Nah it's cool. I can cover the jewelry. Think of it as a gift."
He turned and put his hands on his hips.
"So! When are you going to be free for clothes shopping?"
no subject
Aerika turned around in her chair and glanced up to her calendar. She wasn't really busy outside of practice, and she wasn't sure about how well she'd do at a mall all day. "UHM. I mean. I've got my homework done. I was just reading honestly. When did you wanna go? Should... Could... we bring someone else too?"
no subject
He pulled out his phone to check his own calendar even though he knew that he was free tonight. He made sure of it. Today was a day for Aerika. He was pretty excited to make
her try on a bunch of clothes.
"Who did you have in mind?"
no subject
"Bucky?" She paused. Would she say it was because having the both of them there would help her not get over stimulated and stay on task? ...No. "He'd be fun to bring."
no subject
He couldn't help but shoot Aerika a little coy smile, "That sounds good to me. Why don't you invite him over?"
no subject
"Alright-give me a sec." Aerika stayed motionless in her chair, staring out towards the room while trying to remember exactly where it was she left her phone. After what seems like a minute she gets up and digs through her backpack and pulls out the forsaken mobile device. She took no time to unlock her phone and send out a message.

Do you want to come with me and Nate to the mall
Re: [text]

I hate the mall
Re: [text]
I'll be there in 5
UP TO AERIKAS ROOM
In his defense, Aerika hated going "shopping" with Bucky more. And Nate too? Man both of them had sticky fingers, she had to be desperate.
He walked into Aerika and Cassandra's room with lout knocking like usual. "Alright Aerika I'm here to save you from the boring event of shopping with Nate" he cracks his knuckles.
Tagging order Bucky->Aerika->Nate?
"You're not saving me from anything-"Aerika says pointedly while jabbing at his arm as he entered her room like he owned the place. As usual. She didn't need saving damnit. Why did he always make such a point of saying things like that?.
Sounds good.
"Besides, you might find something you like." More accurately Bucky would get a sneak preview at all of the cute stuff Nate was going to get Aerika. One step in the right direction.
Re: Sounds good.

He reached out and took a lock of Bucky's hair gently between his fingers, "Well if you want to sweetheart. I would be more than happy to."
no subject
It was going to be a long trip.

He turned and smiled at Aerika and smiled, "Shall we get going? If you get us started I definitely wouldn't stop messing with this kid."
no subject
"I'm sure you could make Bucky look...more decorated?" Lets face it, neither of the blondes had any real sense of fashion. If Nate wanted an uphill battle, he certainly found one.

"Are you challenging me, sir?"
no subject
"GUYS." She's giving them both a sternish look. They know she hates it when either of them steal, especially when she's around.
Hell she doesn't need to get any more involved with the law than she already was. The Christmas tree comment was funny though. So she's definitely not being as tough as she could be. She's not smiling at all. No. This was serious. Stealing was wrong.
no subject
"Don't worry. I'll be good." Mostly. Maybe. Well if he chose not to be good Aerika definitely wouldn't hear about it. That would be entirely counterproductive to misbehaving.
"You'll probably have to keep a close eye on Bucky though. Kid's got sticky fingers."

He gave Aerika a quick apologetic smile. He knew that she really didn't like talking about this sort of thing. Or knowing about it. He generally did his best to keep it from her but Bucky. Well, Bucky was a different story.
