 Every new year the Dice North Student Council organizes a massive Carnival for all the students, teachers, parents and neighborhood! Every club and sports team ran an event and did their very best to make money for the spring semester. The anime club had even run a maid cafe one year how bout that!

It's a joyous event that even lets kids out of school all day friday to set up for. The entire front lawn of the school was covered in tents and games and streamers. People from the neighborhood and some eager freshman stood waiting by the ticket office. It was all calm and quiet until the clock tower in the courtyard chimed noon everyone can here the much much louder shout of Clinton Calloway's megaphone "WELCOME TO THE 2015 DICE NORTH CARNIVAL"

Oliver walks up to Cassidy, carefully and pointedly avoiding the booth line so as not to be mistaken for an actual patron.
"I can't believe you're actually doing this. Also, you look like a tomato." A goth tomato.

"You know maybe it will just scare everyone away" Cassidy was less joking, more hoping. Pathetic really. His leg was bouncing up and down on the school like crazy. "Clint and Cameron and Dad wouldn't let me live it down if I chickened out!"

Oliver turned to look at the quickly growing line. "Maybe you'll get lucky and all of these people will pick someone else to kiss. I could try glaring at them with you. Our combined efforts just might be enough."

"They're definitely here for Clint or Cameron we both know that" Cassidy rolled his eyes. hoping deep down in his emo little heart that actually maybe someone would be here to kiss him? And mean it? Or maybe not. He.... Hmmmm. "But uh, thanks."

Doris had been through each of the other kissing booth lines a couple of times by the time she reached the front of Cassidy's. She quickly reapplied a layer of bright red lipstick, smiling widely as she approached him.

"Ah, my turn already. How lucky!" She said with a small laugh, hopping up onto the stool across from him.
"Gettin' tired at all, playboy? It can be real exhausting, y'know, with a student body as big as this."

She leaned forward, a hand sneaking its way to Cassidy's shoulder. "I'm feeling a bit generous today. Hows about this-- After my turn, i'd be glad to fill in for you. You can tell 'em you're takin' a break or something."

Cassidy straightened up at the touch.

"I'm really not any kind of playboy Doris" Cassidy looked at the very interesting tree off to the side.

"And I-" he lowered his voice to a whisper, trying to act cool "I can't just cut out because I would make you look like a bad kisser"

Doris' smile dropped instantly at his comment. Bad kisser? Her?
She grabbed a fistful of his shirt, tugging him forward.
"Listen here Calloway, your family might own the whole damn school, but I reckon this is still foreign territory for you. I'm a fantastic kisser, and you stepping off to go canoodle with the boys ain't gonna make me worse." She said in a low growl, her eyes narrowed.

She still held him forward, her expression fierce. "Now am I gettin' what I paid for, or not. I'm not wastin' my time here if you won't deliver."

"Doris-fuck I was insulting myself for running away, not how good you are at- " Cassidy struggled to move as far away from her as he could on the stool "-And I'm not gay, and definitely not canoodling with anyone!"

To be completely honest, Doris being the one to step up for him made his heart race in guilty excitement. Great job pissing her off Cassidy. Great. Job.

Cassidy already looked just about as stressed out as some kid could get. Cassidy couldn't even keep eye contact or up a decent conversation! This poor boy.

Monty would have loved to drag this out for as long as possible, but a line was forming and that just wasn't fair to everyone else. He took Cassidy's face in his hands and kissed him gently, a wide grin stretched across his face. Monty waited until Cassidy weakly kissed him back before removing his hands.

"My my Calloway, you really are a good kisser!" he said loud enough for everyone in line to hear.

Aerika smiles, says nothing and hands Cassidy a tomato.

He merely stood, hands resting in his hoodie pocket, his phone safely in one back pants pocket and the floor's TV remote in the other. He merely stood, a good 30 feet away from the booth, allowing (forcing) the crowd to adjust their path and walk around him.

Eli merely stood, the usual amused expression plastered on his face, and waited.

Aislin stood near the booth, texting away. The message sent, she slid the phone into her pocket and scanned the kissing booth. Wow, they sure picked the right people to run it- they all looked so confident and comfortable.

And then she caught eye with the only one that didn't. Ohhh man did he not look like he wanted to be there. Aislin could almost feel his embarrassment from where she was standing.

She (barely) covered her mouth with her fist and giggled. Then offered a small, friendly wave to the poor kid.

Did she just wave at him? Shit she did. Was he supposed to say something? Was he supposed to do something? Fuck that would probably encourage her to come over too. He didn't need that this line was definitely too long already. Fuck. He needed to do something

Cassidy waved back to his classmate. Short and probably a little more aggressive than he meant it to be but someone was already sitting down across from him.

Should she go up to the booth and talk to him? Nah, that might be weird... But he waved back! He might want to talk to her.

...Then again, she didn't want to distract him while he was in the middle of... uh, working... but she was new to the area and hadn't had the chance to really talk to anyone yet. He was in her class, and well, what better time to get to know someone than the carnival! Okay it might be pretty weird to get to know someone at a kissing booth but you know what!!

She got in line.

As Cassidy let Doris replace him, Nifty decided it was time for a break. Watching the kid get kissed by every horny teenager in school and obviously hate it was...not as entertaining as he would have thought? He understood the appeal of torturing Cassidy until he turned bright red, but for some reason watching other people do the same was sort of irritating.

He strolled in Cassidy's direction, which was conveniently also in the direction of the food.

Cassidy didn't even want to use the tickets he earned from the booth on food, but it was either that or go hungry. He picked up a sand which, and fuck it, some free mints too. He was going to go find a nice tree or something to go (hide) sit by when he turned around and was face to face with Nifty.

Less face to face, Nifty had at least 6" of height on him (not that he knew it was exactly 6 1/2").

"I'm allowed to take breaks, Doris offered to sub in, and um, a lot of people will want to kiss her. She'll be making us more money this way"

Fuck he was in trouble his break wasn't schedule for another hour.

"I'll be sure to let the student council president know that you're allowing people not even in the student council participate in our booth activity," Nifty told him. "Unless you feel like sharing that sandwich with me so I don't have to stand in line."

Really he should tell Cassidy off, but the line for food stretched all the way past the basketball court.
