Doris poured some of the bottle's contents into his glass, before turning to fill her own. "An older bourbon of ours. It's much smoother, and a li'l sweeter as well. It's always been my favorite." She set the bottle down, reaching instinctively to drink, but paused, biting her lip slightly.
"I'll not call you by that name then. My apologies. Surnames can really get t'ya." She sighed. "I'm still not fully used to mine." She raised the glass to her mouth and took a long sip, shifting to sit more upright. "But there are better things to talk about, yeah?"
