Who: Nifty, Cassidy and....anybody else obsessed with pirates (Elliot, maybe?).I guess someone from the AV club is there to run the projector.
What: A screening of Captain Blood, the classic 1935 pirate film that I just found when I googled "shitty pirate movies." (Apparently it's pretty good though if you like classic movies and pirates.)
Where: This is a rich school, they have to have a private film theater, right?
When: 9:00 on a Friday night, so who would be there except for total social outcasts?

Nobody else was here, thank god. The last thing he wanted to do on a Friday night was mingle with the student body. Nifty sat down near the back of the theater, stretching his legs out into the aisle. He winced when the prosthetic twinged, and reached down to massage his ankle where the foot attached, which he refused to do in the presence of other people.

Not a lot of people knew how much of a fucking Pirate nerd Cassidy was. He usually just would put on headphones and sit in bed watching whatever movies a quick internet search would pull up. But no matter how hard he tried the 1935 Captain Blood movie was something he could find. Especially not with the school's wifi.

This screening also got him out of joining the football team in attempting to TP the house of the rival high school's football captain. He was looking forward to having the theater to himself, no one would want to make out in the back of showing of this right?

Yeah that was until he walked in and made eye contact then none other than his tutor. Why the hell was Nifty here? Oh fuck, already looked directly at him! Cassidy's usual plan of pretend not to notice them was not about-that would not work with Nifty. What should he do what should he say-

He walked over to Nifty "I didn't know you were a classic Pirate film fan"

Perfect. This anxiety-ridden sophomore was EXACTLY the person Nifty wanted to deal with this evening. He quickly straightened up and tucked his leg back under the seat.

"Shouldn't you be out with the rest of your jock friends?" he said.

He rolls his eyes. Why did he even bother.

"Everyone is too sore from the double conditioning to do anything else stupid"

"And I like pirate films"

"Then by all means, sit and watch the pirate film," Nifty said, gesturing to the entire empty theater in front of him.

Almost entire empty theater. As if on cue, Elliot wanders into the room, and for a moment it seems like he's about to completely miss the two of them in the back of the theater, but unfortunately for everyone, he sees them. And not only that, but can recognize Cassidy and heads back to sit next to him, since he's under the impression they were friends.

" Hey! haha, i wouldn' have thought you'd be here "

Elliot has no idea who Nifty is, and also doesn't bother to introduce himself.

Nifty had a vague idea who Elliot was - freshman, loud, always in detention, had been picked up for stealing from Target at least twice - but definitely didn't care enough to talk to him. Unfortunately, this kid was also currently getting in the way of Nifty's night alone.

Maybe if he ignored both Cassidy and Elliot they'd choose to at least sit somewhere else in the theater.
