Okay Clint is the top of the list of people Areli was going to ask. And honestly, Areli knew he'd probably say no but hey worth a shot, right.
He let himself into the room, which was wide open, and sat down on the edge of the bed to watch Clint play whatever game it was. Halo or something?? Whatever.

" Heeyyy Clint. "

"SHOOT! TANUM I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME!" Clint laugh yelled as he was absolutely slaughtered by his friend across the hall.

He looked over at er... Areli? Yeah that was his name. 2 points to his memory!

"What's up Arel. Ya need something?"

Areli sat leaning with his elbows on his knees, watching Clint. Damn Clint really wasn't that good at that game, what if Tanum can beat him.
He shrugged, playing casual.

" Oh not really. You're going to the Sadie Hawkins, yeah?? "

"Wouldn't miss it, are you?" Clint smiled at the junior.

" Well, yeah, of course. I've just got to find someone to go with, you know. "

Areli's twirling a strand of hair with his finger, looking expectantly at Clint.

Clint doesn't get the hint. "Waiting for some cutie to ask you?"

Areli stares at him. Right, trying to get through with Clint was always difficult. Too obtuse.

"Yeah, you could say that. "

" Have you been asked yet? "

His phone vibrates on the bed next to them with the text from Lia.

"Not really nah. It's only been 10 minutes since they announced it"

Areli eyed the phone for a second and frowned. Oh come on. Well, whatever, being coy wasn't going to work with Clint anyway.

"Well would you want to go with me? "

Clint laughs "Haha good joke man- oh wait shit sorry you were being serious! I uh, yeah I mean when I said kinda lia and I you know how it is"

Areli shoved his shoulder, laughing a little. "God, I'm playing! You're so easy to mess with. You and Lia have been like a 'thing' for like, ever. " He shrugged. " I just wanted to see who you were going with. "

"Lia's my best friend man!" Clint shoved Areli back playfully. Playful for Clint, which was probably a lot more than Areli was used to. "Lia doesn't count as a date. But kinda does. Right?"

He had to put his hand down on the bed to straighten himself out and keep from sliding off the bed with that shove. Areli took that as his chance to get up off the bed and try to at least look a little graceful about it, and not like he could be toppled over with a breeze.

" I dont know~ I bet everyone thinks you're dating anyway. "

"I dunno who would be out of their mind enough to date Lia." Clint laughs. "Lemme know if you're still looking for a date I'll put in a good word man"

He was stepping out of the room at this point,
" Ohh, I'm sure I wont have a problem, but I'll keep you up to date, " Areli winks at him before stepping out. God damnit Clint.

Whatever, Areli has a list, at least.
