Rosalind stared stonily at each and every student as they filed into the gym. Under her gaze, even the innocent ones looked away guiltily as if she knew every class they'd skipped over the past four years. 

Once they were all seated on the rows of bleachers, she continued to stare, arms folded, until everyone was sweating with nerves.

"Which one of you," she said with the cold of a thousand winters in her voice. "Put Mr. Calloway's car on the roof of the school."

His shoulders tense as she stares at him. God this was so uncomfortable. Kicked puppy would be a good way to describe the expression he's showing now. Why did she have to be so quiet. How do you even begin to deal with these kind of people. Run the other way?? That sounded like a good answer.







It's probably only a minute before he speaks again. "I-I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Uh. Can. I go back in the gym now?"

"Certainly. You can go back in the gym to apologize to the school and claim full responsibility for the prank." Her expression didn't change a bit as she continued to look at him, almost casually. "Or you can name someone else involved, and then go home for the night."

"I don't even know what claiming full responsibility entails like-" He stammers out,. "I-I mean no one would believe that I was behind it anyways." Fuck he's talking too much. "What do I have against Principal Calloway." Way too much talking.

"A-and you're just looking for anyone to blame." What the hell is he doing. This is only going to make it worse for him, and everyone.

Rosalind just smiled, although it didn't reach her eyes. Her smiles never did. She wait for Julian to finish whatever he was saying.

He's not actually sure what else to say, but he stands there still. Julian can't look her in the eye regardless. He would say she doesn't have any proof, but she already said someone named him as a culprit...and she's also scary as hell.

"..."

[icyglare]

"Mr. Braxton, need I remind you that you are a scholarship student, and already on academic probation for the number of classes you've missed this semester? Be glad that I'm giving you a choice between the easy way or the hard way, and be careful about what you say unless you want insubordination added to your list of crimes."

"..." Shit. Any small ideas that he'd be getting away with this stunt vanished almost instantly.

"I remember." He responds glumly. Julian was still making up all the missed days from last semester. "I don't, know what the easy or hard way are, you just keep saying that and then telling me to choose."

"N-not that I won't I.. just want to... understand."

"The easy way is naming someone else involved." Rosalind let him remember what the hard way would be for himself.

"That's..." He hesitates. "I meant, as in, what kind of repercussions I'm looking at."

"That will be decided when we understand the extent of the conspiracy." Rosalind frowns minutely.

Maybe he could shoulder the blame? He didn't want to be in the prank to begin with, but he had too much loyalty at this point. At least... he couldn't risk getting everyone else in trouble without knowing what would happen to them.

"I... it's just me then."

[icyglare]

Rosalind snorts loud enough for him to hear. "If you say so. Let's go back into the gym, and you can tell everyone that you took an entire car up onto the roof over the lunch hour." She turns to return to the gym.
