Rosalind stared stonily at each and every student as they filed into the gym. Under her gaze, even the innocent ones looked away guiltily as if she knew every class they'd skipped over the past four years.

Once they were all seated on the rows of bleachers, she continued to stare, arms folded, until everyone was sweating with nerves.

"Which one of you," she said with the cold of a thousand winters in her voice. "Put Mr. Calloway's car on the roof of the school."

"Mhmmm you know what i've noticed toi? there aren't that many girls at this school who wear makeup. actually there aren't that many girls at this school in general. that's kind of weird don't you think?" Alexei continues to let toivo melt in his boney fingers that were covered in cheap costume jewelry.

"I think it gives the boys more of a chance to explore their sexuality at a younger age. It said on reddit most guys wait until college now"

"Lia. She wears some. Around her eyes. And that Kotori girl uses a lot... I think Easton uses some." Toivo winced a little bit at the jewelry kneading into his skin. "Those rings hurt, dude."

Toivo adjusted himself to try to get Alexei to focus on the parts of his back that hurt the most, not really paying attention to what he was saying. After a minute, Toivo's head popped back up, and he turned to glare at Alexei. "Are you trying to hit on me?"

Alexei stopped mid way through pulling off one of the rings with his mouth and raised an eyebrow at toivo.

"I thought we were talking about the mean boys au i'm working on. If you want I can make you Aaron Samuels?"

"You just... said..." Toivo could never keep up with Alexei's weird train of thought. "Exploring sexuality...?" His expression turned deadpan and he sighed.

"Whatever. Just. Can you keep going?" Toivo let his shoulders drop. "That felt nice."

Alexei pockets his rings. "I don't see why people limit themselves to just one gender Toi. Makes life less interesting. See i've been working on this story of this teen who is confused about weather he likes the hot loud sexy football player prostitute at his school? But the guy is a super hung up on this and has to text his best friend all the time and she also wants to hook up with him."

"I think the story should end in a threesome"

Toivo slowly straightened out his back, his spine going stick straight. Honestly, it was probably the most disciplined posture he had ever done.

A few seconds ticked by and he very carefully turned around to look at Alexei. Then, without saying a word, he stood up. He didn't say anything, he just stared at Alexei.

"I'm thinking of going for the teen-romance-fantasy genre that's been so popular lately. Maybe have the prostitute football player be an angel? And maybe the nerdy boy is a were-horse"

Toivo's expression went from unamused to just plain confused. "Alexei, what the fuck are you talking about? a were-horse? That's just stupid. Who would ever think that's a good idea and use that as an actual plot device?"

He wasn't an idiot. Toivo knew that Alexei was basically putting him and Easton into one of his weird stories. How did he get stuck being friends with this guy? What was worse is that they're in the same year, so there was a lot of overlap in their schedules.

"You're right I should stick to the classics. I'm trying to work in this handsome vampire character but I haven't figured his place out yet."

"Also, don't put me in your stories. Or Eviee. We're not like that." Toivo huffed a little and clenched his fist. "I don't want you writing some weird story with some alternate were-horse version of me getting it on with our classmates!"

Toivo sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, his glasses skewing a little on his face. He really should go see a councilor.

Alexei held up his hands "Wow toivo you're really upset suddenly i thought massages were supposed to relax people"

"I... AUrk. Khr... KHGRRRR!"

Apparently those are words and apparently Toivo said them, but after the last grunt of frustration he turned around and plopped back down in his seat. Maybe if he just... ignored what Alexei said. Just. Avoided paying attention to him talking in Toivo's ear. Yeah. Sure.

"You are impossible and I want to throttle you," Toivo said very clearly, knowing that Alexei would somehow turn his words into a compliment or something. Or ignore them.

Alexei moved one hand up and felt around his throat, face going red as he looked away from toivo.

"Hahah whoa man that's a lot more than I was expecting" he laughed awkwardly. Woowee he would really rather not be in this room filled with the irritated entire student body. He'd rather be with just one other body, one strangling him a little bit. Not too hard tho, just the right amount....

But that was weird Toi was his friend and didn't mean it like that.

"What?" Toivo asked, very clearly unaware of what Alexei was thinking about. He turned around, his annoyed expression switching to something more gentle. "Are you okay? You look kind of flushed."

Toivo frowned a little and said, "I was going to ask if you could keep up with the massage but if you're not feeling well then maybe we should see if we can get permission to escort you back to your room."

Alexei weighed his options. The first being telling toivo he's fine and going back to giving him a massage and hoping he doesn't get a boner. The second being saying yes carry me back to my room and THEN give toivo a massage there, alone, with mood music....

"I choose the second option." He says out loud then cringes. "The one getting me back to my room asap. You know better safe than sorry and we'd both get out of here and that's way better" way better

"I'm pretty sure there wasn't really a second option to be picked, but okay," Toivo said wryly. He let out a weird noise that was kind of like laughter, but it was stifled so it turned into a weird throaty noise instead. "I'll try to see if they'll let us out of here."

Toivo stood from the bleachers, probably gathering attention due to his height, and went over to Mrs. Strangenorth. He scratched the back of his head and said, "M-my friend Alexei isn't feeling so well, and he's kind of feverish. Is...is it alright if I escort him back to his room?"

She was terrifying

Rosalind raised an eyebrow. "He can be escorted by a teacher to the health center. If he feels better he'll return here."

Toivo made a noise that was a combination of fear, shame, and probably arousal. "Ah, y-yeah. Of course. I'll let him know."

He turned on his heel and quickly made his way over to Alexei, his face hot from both embarrassment and shame. As soon as he was back to his spot, he said to Alexei, "Bad news. You can't go back to your room, but you can get escorted to the health center. I can't go with, though."

"Think you can stick it out?" Then, without asking, he raised his hand to feel Alexei's forehead and compared it to his own.

Eivee uses the disruption to finally work her way forward the last two rows, to where she'd been heading ever since she saw the words "Alexei" and "massage" mentioned in the same text message, because no fair.

She arrives at the seat at about the same time as Toivo and then stares in fascination at the scene playing out in front of her. it's just like in her animes.

IT'S JUST LIKE IN MY ANIMES.

In Alexei's (and eivee's) mind, he was surrounded by roses and sparkles with a soft pink background. As the prince (yes it's toivo i know that is confusing) put a hand to his forehead, leaning ever so close.

He could stick it out if toivo stayed with him

"I can stick it out if you're here with me"

oh hm. he said that one out loud.

Eivee swoons a little. Have they noticed her yet? She hopes they haven't noticed her yet. She came over here hoping for a massage but this was somehow so much better.

What.

Toivo pulled his hand away slightly, his face mashing into a weird combination of expressions, but mainly confusion. "I... You must be sick."

He turned, seeing Eivee there, and he smiled for the first time that evening. It was probably one of those 'stop you in your tracks' anime smiles even. "Hey! I was wondering where you were."

Alexei falls over sideways onto the bench covering his face. Kind of cackling to himself. Or was that giggling? Its all the same with this boy

Eivee experienced a moment of disappointment that the show was over, but she hadn't forgotten her original purpose for coming down here, either.

"I was up near the back! But everyone was being uber rude and wouldn't let me through so thanks for the distraction." She returned Toivo's smile, happy that someone was happy to see her, before turning to her real target.

"But, oh noes, are you sick?" She settled herself down right next to Toivo so that she was as close to in front of Alexei as she could get.

Toivo was just feeling very confused all around. Why was Alexei cackling on the bench here? "Alexei, I can't accurately measure your temperature if you keep hiding your face like that," Toivo whined, kneeling down in front of him.

"Seriously, if you're feeling that bad, maybe you should just go to the health center," he muttered. He looked up at Eivee, and said, "He suddenly started getting flushed and he's pretty warm, but Mrs. Strangenorth said he can't go to his room and has to get escorted by a teacher."
