[log] you're all in big trouble
who: Everyone
what: Ms. Strangenorth has pulled every student into the gym right after last period and you're all in trouble.
where: The gym
when: If she has to keep you here all night, she will.
Rosalind stared stonily at each and every student as they filed into the gym. Under her gaze, even the innocent ones looked away guiltily as if she knew every class they'd skipped over the past four years.
Once they were all seated on the rows of bleachers, she continued to stare, arms folded, until everyone was sweating with nerves.
"Which one of you," she said with the cold of a thousand winters in her voice. "Put Mr. Calloway's car on the roof of the school."

"I'm pretty sure they can't actually keep everyone here all night." He half-mumbled, mostly to himself.

"She's done it before," he muttered from behind Areli. "You know this isn't the first time something like this has happened." A pause, then a small, disapproving sound. "Also, your hair is kind of in my face."
Sure enough, Areli's long, dark locks were draped against Eli's leg, occasionally brushing up on his sandals. Which was kind of bothering him.

"I'm not going to be stuck sitting on bleachers all night. I have things to do. This is bullshit. "
He paused for a second.
" What happened last time? "

" Well, whoever did it last time probable did it this time. I'd think they'd be smart enough to figure that out, and not keep all of us here for no reason. " He frowned and faced forward again, his hair sliding back onto Eli's leg.

"But keeping us here is half the joke," he said matter-of-factly, looking at Areli as if he were an idiot; though it was lost on the back of his head.
no subject
" I appreciate that you're trying to be funny, but you're not. "
no subject
"No, I mean it's literally half the joke, idiot. This isn't just a prank on the principal; it's a prank on us, too. 'Whoever' -" he used some pretty intense air-quotes there, "- is behind this has successfully pranked the entire school."
no subject
" Well, whatever. It's a shitty joke. They're not making anyone like them. "

"And what do you think?"

He flipped his phone out, let out another laugh, and began replying to a text.

It was worth a shot at least. These bleachers were uncomfortable as always and Cass needed her beauty rest!

"Well, whine more quietly. "
You're one to talk Areli.

"riiiiiight...."
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
"We'll have to agree to disagree, then. "

" But you have to admit that the football team is cute though. "
