[log] come on out!
Who: Helen and Seamus
What: She's gonna make you more social, kid.
When: About a week after the start of the spring semester, on a Saturday morning
Where: Outside room C2-2, Seamus' room. For now, at least.
She was pretty convinced that Seamus had just never left his room, at one point. She never saw him at parties, or staying for extracurriculars, or doing much of anything social, for that matter.
Helen aimed to fix that.
She figured, with the right push, Seamus would be more involved with the school's social atmosphere, and feel better about being a student at Dice North.
If it took a not-date to get the kid to be more social, so be it.
Helen was outside the dorm room, donned in a cute sundress and wearing her hair down. She brought with her a full carrot cake, which she had slaved over last night, in hopes it would coax Seamus out of his room.
She stood up straight, and gave the door a brisk knock.

Too Early
Who the hell was trying to wake him up at 10 in the morning on a damn saturday?
He glanced over at Nero's empty bed. Neatly made, that kid would have gotten up and headed out hours ago for some club or some study group or some...whatever the hell he did.
Seamus stumbled out of bed, stretched a bit, then shuffled towards the door.
"Nero, I swear to god if that's you and you woke me up for some dumb reason I'm gonna-"
The words fell silent in his mouth as he opened the door and saw Helen standing there.
good morning starshine
"Good morning," she chirruped, "Did I just wake you up? Sorry about that. I was hoping we could spend the morning together, now that the weather's nicer!"
Literal Hell
But on a Saturday morning, the bouncing ball of sunshine personified knocking at his door made it seem quite a lot like he was already trapped in the dark pits of the underworld.
"Yeah, you did actually. Why would you want to go outsi- is that for me?" Seamus abruptly changed his train of thought as his eyes passed over the carrot cake in her hands.
at least there's cake
She's got him, though. She's totally got him. The cake really did the trick. Good job, Helen. She made a mental note to keep the recipe, or to get more ingredients. If she was going to make this kid come out more, more baked goods would be necessary.
Grumble Grumble
Only a moment later he reappeared, dressed in an oversized hoodie that seemed to swallow him and a pair of dark blue jeans.
"So where are you draggin' me to, anyways?"
no subject
Her smile is genuine. She looks so excited for this.
no subject
"Lead on then," he said, closing the door behind himself.
This cake better be worth it.
no subject
No matter! There was still time to grow, after all.
"So what kind of stuff do you do outside of school, Seamus?" She asked, eagerly glancing over to him.
no subject
"Not too much really. You know, just the usual stuff," he responded, a shrug accompanying the all too vague answer.
It wasn't exactly a lie, but what was he supposed to say? That he spent most of his time practicing pickpocketing, using his five finger discount, or figuring out the best way to scam his new classmates?
Yeah. That would go over perfectly.
