Toivo stared. What... What? He looked up, a look of confusion very clear on his face, then back down to Doris. "Me? You actually want... me to go... me?"

This is seriously the first normal person that has actually wanted to do something with him. He hoped. What are the chances that she was just using him so he would be distracted while a bunch of assholes switched out his desk for a broken one? Or that she was completely bonkers and didn't understand that personal space is something that most people like once in a while and no they don't want to join your stupid cycling team Alexei.

"Are you talking about the school one that's coming up?"

Doris nodded briskly. "Yes, you! And yes, the school one! If anything," she brought her hand to Toivo's arm, giving it a small pat. "I want to get to know you better. You've certainly caught my interest." She said, smiling warmly.

There was no mistaking that she was flirting with him. His face went red and his mouth quirked into a smile. He let out a small laugh and said, "I, wow. Yeah, sure. Um. I mean we haven't really. We haven't talked before, right? Sorry. Is that rude?"

He brought his hand up to his mouth and covered it, then muttered from behind his fingers, "Sorry. Yes."

Doris' eyes glowed with excitement. That was, admittedly, a lot easier than originally thought. "Really? Oh, thank you so much!"
"Ah-- Rude? Oh, no no! Far from that!" Doris leaned forward a bit, trying to minimize the gap between them a bit. "Consider this the first of many chats we'll have, Toivo. I'm sure we'll get to know each other really well."

Toivo leaned down a little without actually meaning to, seemingly drawn to her and what she was saying. "Y-yeah. No problem." His face was still beet red, but he was actually smiling now.

Then, his brain finally decided to kick in and his eyes lit up with realization. "Oh, right. Um. I don't think I have your number. Uh." Shit. He had agreed to going out with her but he hardly knew her name. "Do... ris?"

After saying that, he realized that he could have just let her fill out the contact information in his phone. God dammit.

Doris took a step closer to him, enjoying the responses she had been getting thus far.
"Of course. How foolish of me!" She giggled, looking off. Her gaze returned upon hearing her name. "Ah, you remembered! How sweet, I wasn't sure if you had." She raised an open hand expectantly. "I can put my number in your phone, if you want." Her smile softened, and she tilted her head slightly. "Or I could write it down too, if you prefer that."

"Oh! Yeah. Of course!" He fumbled back a little, shoving his hands into the billions of pockets that his cargo pants seemed to have. Finally he found his phone, almost dropping it as he pulled it out from his pants too quickly for him to keep up, but he managed keep a grip on it. He gave Doris an embarrassed smile and opened up his contacts so she could fill it in. It was a smartphone, but it was definitely the cheapest smartphone you could get at Walmart.

"Um, here," he said as he handed the phone over for her to complete. "I can just text you... when you're done. So you get my number, I mean."

Doris filled in her information quickly, making sure to put a small heart icon next to her name. "Nice nice, then I won't have to worry about coming down here just so we can talk." She handed it back off to him. "Not that I really mind, or anything."
She perked up for a moment. "Oh! I also work at the coffee shop near here. I don't know how big you are with that, but feel free to drop by. It'd be a pleasure to see you again." She said, eyes half-lidded.

"I mean. You could," Toivo faltered. "Could... come down here just... to talk..." Toivo looked away, clutching his phone tightly in his hand. He glanced back, still red in the face, and cleared his throat.

"Ah, yeah. I. I'll be sure to stop by then," he was looking at her again, but this time he was taking in more of her appearance than actually meeting her eyes.

"Oh?" she leaned against the door frame. "Would you like me to come down here more often? Because I'd certainly would love to, if you'd let me."
She looked behind him, at his room. "Is your roommate gone a lot?"

If there was a way that he could get more red in the face, he would, but fortunately for him, that wasn't actually physically possible. He let out a weird strangled sound that was mostly muffled by the fact that he didn't actually have his mouth open at the time. "I mean. If. You're okay with that... Ye.. ah. I'd like that."

Holy shit is this actually happening how is this happening to him. He looked back into his room, like he expected Arnam to suddenly appear out of thin air. "For the most part. He's been around a little more often, lately, but I think he just. Kind of does his own thing."

"Ah, so there won't be much interruption to worry over." A toothy grin spread across her face. "Lovely." She almost seemed to purr the word. Doris relaxed against the door frame, turning her focus back to Toivo.
"Well, you just let me know whenever you need me over. I'll be sure to drop by as soon as I can."

Okay, that one was impossible to miss. There was definitely an innuendo there, and Toivo's eyebrows nearly flew off his face from the speed that they rose up. Shit. Holy shit wow. Yeah she is definitely flirting with him. Okay wow.

And he was definitely liking it. Okay, so that's good. He wasn't just gay. His entire life wasn't a lie. Gay crisis might not be averted but it has definitely just gotten a lot better.

"Um, yeah! Okay. Just. If you want to hang any time, just send me a text. And, uh. Is there anything that I need... for the dance? I've never been to it." He clicked through his phone, preparing a message to send to Doris so she could get his number.

Doris nodded. "Right, right, of course!" She tried to think of anything super important. "Mmm, it's a kinda fancy event, but don't feel you need to go all out with it." Her smile faded for a moment.
"Well..." She focused on his face. That mustache...Dear god. "I would prefer one thing to not show up." She raised her pointer finger and tapped it lightly on his upper lip, drawing it back after a brief pause. "I'd prefer to not see the 'stache." She then pointed back to her own mouth. "I'm real ticklish on the face, y'see."

He looked down, his eyes focusing on her finger as she removed it from his lip. Toivo's brows furrowed and he frowned a little, thinking a moment. But his mustache was his best feature. "Ah, um. I..." Wait, ticklish?

Oh she meant.

Oh. Ok.

He stumbled a little, reaching for the doorframe and grabbing onto it. Then he just kind of, turned a little to make it look like he had meant to lean against it really heavily. Very smooth. There was no way she was ever going to buy that he did that on purpose. Ok. Whatever. She was still talking to him, it's ok. "Yeah. I can just. Get rid of that. Don't worry about it."

Doris' smile slowly returned. "Thank you." She returned to standing. "I promise I'll make it up to you." She glanced to his waist. "One way or another. Oh and...don't forget to text me. I'll be quick to respond." She said with a small wink.

He managed to catch her glance down, and while he wasn't sure exactly what that meant, he assumed it was probably good. "Yeah," he breathed, bringing his phone up and typing out a short message. "I. Yeah. I'll see you around?"

Mission complete.
"Absolutely." She cooed, bringing her phone out of her pocket.
"See you soon, Toivo." She picked herself up, sliding away from the door frame, waving to him as she left.

He swallowed hard and watched her walk away, waving slowly as she disappeared down the hall.

Holy shit. Holy shit. That actually just happened. He was just approached by a girl to go to the dance. And, well, admittedly he was kind of dense to these things, but the thought that she just flirted with him hardcore.

He finished typing his message to Doris and pressed send, glancing up once more to make sure she was actually out of sight before sliding back into his room and closing the door.

Toivo had a lot to talk about with Eivee.
