Rosalind stared stonily at each and every student as they filed into the gym. Under her gaze, even the innocent ones looked away guiltily as if she knew every class they'd skipped over the past four years. 

Once they were all seated on the rows of bleachers, she continued to stare, arms folded, until everyone was sweating with nerves.

"Which one of you," she said with the cold of a thousand winters in her voice. "Put Mr. Calloway's car on the roof of the school."

Clint looked around the room as all the eyes turned to him. He slipped his phone into his pocket and climbed down the rows through the students rather than using the steps. "Come on Mr. Marcus, me really?"

"You really." Meekus beckoned him to follow and led him outside the gym doors. He folded his arms and put on his most stern face. "Look, Clint, I know you or someone you know had something to do with this. You're a good kid, you're a senior, and you're on the football team. If you confess, I'm sure you won't be punished too harshly academically...although I can't make any claims to what'll happen at home."

"You know Dad's probably been looking for an excuse to ride his horse to school. Mom won't let him tho, they've been arguing about it for weeks. Or well, my mom just says 'no' very sternly every morning when he reaches for his cowboy boots" Clint laughs.

"Reminds me of when I begged for months for a motorcycle and had the same response until one day everything happened you know"

"Yes, I definitely remember the motorcycle incident." Meekus shook his head, but smiled. "But that didn't sound like a confession to me."

"have you seen cas's bike? man he totally started crying when- oh shoot don't tell him i told you that he'll kill me!"

"Clinton." Meekus was beginning to look frustrated. "Just admit that you know what happened."

"I think my senior prank is going to go down in the history textbooks." Clint smiled "Why waste it on something like this?"

"If you don't admit anything, I'm going to just have to start calling in all your friends," Meekus threatened. "I'm sure one of the other football players or one of your siblings will know something about what happened. But if you tell me who was involved, then maybe we can work to minimize the damage and keep you all playing for the big game next week."

"You think Cameron or Cas did this?" Clint scratched his chin "You know it woulda been a good idea, Dad WOULD be a lot happier able to ride his horse into school"

Meekus sighed. "If you're going to be obstinate, then go back to your seat. And I don't want to see you texting anymore, there's no cell phones allowed in school!"

He cheerfully goes back to his seat, giving high fives to the other students as he went.
