Nero was nervous. Apprehensive. Concerned. Anxious. He closed his thesaurus, reopened it, and then promptly closed it again. He wasn't going to get ANY homework done at this rate. Which meant he was DEFINITELY going to fail the pop quiz he was 90% sure they were having tomorrow in Creative Writing. They've never had a pop quiz in Creative Writing before, but why not start now? The way the teacher had phrased last week's homework was just too suspicious to overlook.
He just wished his new roommate would show up now and spare him all this worry.
... On second thought, maybe he wasn't ready to face her just yet. He didn't even know WHY she was being reassigned. What happened between her and her old roommate ..? Who was her old roommate??? Oh god obviously they were dead it all makes sense
Maybe he should just leave and come back tomorrow. (Or never.) There was bound to be someone who would let him spend the night in their room tonight. (Or forever.) He quickly gathered up his books and papers and hurried to his door.
